World Philosophy Day

Necmiye-Mehmet Yazıcı Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School organised a talk for students within the scope of World Philosophy Day. 11th grade students participated in the talk held on Tuesday, 21 November at 13:30 in the school conference hall. Research Assistant Nuri ÇİÇEK, Director of Values Education Application and Research Centre, from Aksaray University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Philosophy, gave the talk. He provided valuable information to the students with the topic "Why Philosophy?" He expressed what philosophy is, its place and importance in social life, where philosophical knowledge can be used in our daily life, and the necessity of rational, critical and questioning attitude in our lives. Thus, it contributed to the intellectual life of the students.
